Whimsy N°2
Whimsy is a celebration of movement, embodiment, and playful transformation. Created through a physically immersive process—body-printing directly onto canvas laid flat on the floor—the painting carries the tactile evidence of skin, limbs, and breath. Each mark is a trace of contact, gesture, and intention.
These impressions are then worked into a vibrant world of koi fish and lily pads, where the body's marks dissolve into water, pattern, and motion. What begins as raw imprint becomes a playful ecosystem—alive, fluid, and surprising.
In Whimsy, the body is both subject and landscape. It asks what happens when we surrender precision in favor of presence, when we let go of control and paint with joy. The result is a piece that floats between instinct and imagination—a dance of flesh and water, effort and ease.
